Privacy Policy
What we collect
Laterstack uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how readers use the site. This collects anonymized data including pages visited, time on site, device type, and general location (country/region level). We do not collect names, emails, or personally identifiable information through analytics.
If you contact us directly (email, social media), we keep that correspondence to respond to you. We don't add you to any list or share your contact information.
Cookies
We use cookies only for analytics (GA4) and essential WordPress functionality. We do not run advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party tracking scripts beyond analytics.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work fine.
Third-party services
We use these services to run the site:
- Google Analytics 4 for traffic analytics
- NixiHost for web hosting
- WordPress as our content management system
- Cloudflare for CDN and security
Each of these services has their own privacy policies. We don't sell, trade, or transfer your data to anyone else.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained for 14 months within Google Analytics, then automatically deleted. We don't maintain separate databases of reader information.
Your rights
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. If you want to know what data we have associated with your contact (if you've emailed us), or want it deleted, email us and we'll handle it.
Children's privacy
Laterstack is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll note it on the homepage.
